Whey Concentrate is the baseline quality for protein only being beaten marginally by isolate and hydrolysed. See which we would recommend as the best whey concentrate below!
Efectiv – Whey V2
Efectiv Nutrition upgraded their protein by removing inferior quality ingredients such as skimmed milk powder. They have somehow managed to maintain the great taste they had from V1 in their 100% whey concentrate V2! A 30g serving provides 22g/23g protein depending on flavour! Our 20% discount code gets this 60 servings tub for £48!
1 Source Supplements – Whey
This whey is 100% concentrate for the choc ganache and caramel brownie only, as their millionaire shortbread does contain skimmed milk (although we must note it’s in there for flavouring, not for adding protein content). At 21g/22g protein per 30g serving depending on flavour you can pick up a 68 serving tub for £46.80!
Protein Works – Whey 80
Protein Works Whey 80 is the cheapest 100% concentrate on the market although the other “bulk” protein providers (namely MyProtein and Bulk) are just as cheap give or take a few pennies. Having tried all 3, there isn’t much difference between the three but we do like that you can buy 4kg for the same cost per serving as 5kg at it’s competitors, as let’s face it, even choc bueno gets boring after serving number 160! One negative is that they have a smaller range of flavours. 133 servings will cost around £71 while 66 servings will set you back about £40.
NOTE: We at Whey It Up strongly believe in supporting small businesses and would encourage you to do so too.
